Event Overview: “Cones & Chrome: Scoops for Awareness” will honor International Overdose Awareness Day by combining the excitement of a vibrant car show with essential community engagement and educational initiatives. Here’s a look at what we have planned:

1. Car Show:
   • Featuring 20 uniquely decorated cars competing for awards such as “Best in Show” and “Best Chevy.”
   • Organized by The 757 Midnight Riders, renowned for their exceptional car shows and community involvement.
2. Educational and Harm Reduction Initiatives:
   • REVIVE Training by the Portsmouth Health Department to educate attendees on recognizing and responding to an overdose.
   • Distribution of harm reduction kits, including Naloxone and other essential materials.
   • Resources provided by community partners, including VA Fentanyl Awareness, DSS,DBH, and others to support families affected by SUD
   • Sesame Street children’s books to support children impacted by SUD.
3. Community Engagement:
   • Catering provided by community partner, Mr. Cream Cone, serving purple soft-serve ice cream to symbolize overdose awareness.
