Adult Mental Health First Aid (AMHFA)

April 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

In-Person Adult Mental Health First Aid (AMHFA): This is an all-day class. It teaches individuals how to recognize, identify, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use disorder and to help connect them to appropriate care.

The steps needed to sign up for the classes: MHFA & YMHFA

Please provide the following to the instructors:

  1. First and last name,
  2. A working email address, and
  3. A working phone number.

 

In return, the instructors will enroll you in the course AMHFA &/or YMHFA, and you will receive an email from (https://connect.mentalhealthfirstaid.org) Mental Health First Aid National Council outlining the following:

  1. An invite to AMHFA &/or YMHFA.
  2. A password that you must change once you log on to the AMHFA &/or YMHFA CONNECT.

 

Noteworthy: In-Person Training

  • Before learners can participate in the instructor-led training, they must complete the In-Person pre-test to start the class, a post-test, and an opinions quiz to receive their certificate.
  • You will have time to obtain lunch independently.
